15 minutes · $59 Complimentary
Your 15 minutes with a dermal therapist to map pigmentation, redness, texture and fine lines, and choose the treatment that actually suits your skin. Pick a time below. No card, no obligation.
A look at your skin under clinic light, a few questions about what you'd like to change, and a plan: which treatment, how many sessions, what it costs and what to expect. You'll see Haley, Dermal & Laser Specialist, or Amity, Dermal Therapist. Nothing is done to your skin on the day.
No. This is a cosmetic skin consultation about pigmentation, redness, texture and lines. If anything on your skin worries you medically, please see your GP or a skin-cancer clinic first.
The light used by BBL and Moxi is visible and infrared, the same part of the spectrum as warmth from the sun without the UV. It's non-ionising, so it doesn't damage DNA the way UV or X-rays can. It gently heats targets in the skin, like pigment and old collagen, so the skin clears and rebuilds them itself. Tixel isn't a laser at all: a warm titanium tip touches the skin for a fraction of a second. All three are TGA-listed devices.
There's no known mechanism for it and no evidence of it. These wavelengths don't carry the energy needed to break DNA. UV from the sun does, which is why your therapist will talk about SPF more than anything else.
Any heat-based treatment can if the settings are wrong for your skin, which is exactly why the consultation exists. Your therapist assesses your skin type, any tan, medications and history, does a test patch if needed, and sets the device for you. Redness and warmth for a few hours afterwards is normal; a burn is not. We don't treat freshly tanned skin.
Different thing. Steroids work on the whole body and surgery puts something in or takes something out. These treatments are local, nothing is injected or implanted, and nothing is left behind. They trigger your skin's own repair response, so the improvement is your skin making more of its own collagen and clearing its own damage. Stop, and nothing "wears off" the way a filler does.
Most people describe BBL as a warm snap, Moxi as a light scratchy heat and Tixel as a brief sting. Numbing cream is used where it helps. The consultation itself is talking and looking; nothing is done to your skin on the day.
Because the right treatment depends on your skin, not a menu. Fifteen minutes in person beats guessing online, and most people leave with a clear plan whether or not they book anything.
